At Sherburn visiting scheme, we provide a Tuesday afternoon social for seniors. Our weekly gathering takes place at The Harold Mills Centre in Sherburn in Elmet, and transportation can be arranged for those who have difficulty or mobility issues.
We understand that social interaction is crucial for seniors to maintain their mental and emotional well-being. That’s why we offer a warm and welcoming environment for seniors to come together, connect, and socialise.
Our Tuesday afternoon social is a great opportunity for seniors to engage in various activities such as games, crafts, or simply catch up with friends over tea and snacks. It’s also a chance for them to make new connections and build new friendships.
Aside from the weekly social, we also organise special events and trips throughout the year to keep our seniors engaged and active in the community. It’s our way of ensuring that they continue to be an integral part of our society.
We understand that transportation can often be a barrier for seniors, which is why we offer to arrange transportation for those who have difficulty or mobility issues. We want all seniors in our community to have access to our social events.
