There is a range of support services available for both individuals and groups. This covers shopping trips, events, healthy living, socialisation, medical transport, Meals on Wheels and more. With our range of resources, residents over 60 can continue to live their lives to the fullest and maintain their independence as they age. See our services for more information.

Is there support available for those who require a wheelchair?

For the seniors who require a wheelchair, we offer a range of support available to ensure that they can lead independent lives. From special equipment like wheelchairs lifts, to accessible transport facilities, our services cater for the needs of wheelchair users. Is there a charge for your services?

We do not make a charge to become a member but we ask for donations to cover our expenses. Some trips and activities have a small charge which will be advertised in advance.

Is the Sherburn Visiting Scheme a carers organisation?

No, we do not offer personal care, or assistance as a carer. We are a support network of volunteers and can only offer assistance to those still independant.
