We prepare and deliver healthy two-course meals to participating members every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday lunchtime.
Every week on Tuesday and Thursday, a group of dedicated volunteers gather at the Eversley Park Centre in Sherburn in Elmet to cook up a nutritious and delicious meal for the local senior residents. Catering to those who may have difficulty cooking for themselves, the Sherburn Visiting Scheme provides a warm and tasty meal delivered to their door.
The meal is prepared using frozen Apetito meals, specifically designed with senior citizens in mind, that ensure the meal is both tasty and healthy. This scheme not only provides seniors with much-needed sustenance, but it also creates a sense of community and friendship in an often-lonely demographic.
