Door to Door Shopping Trips
Our weekly and monthly door to door shopping trips allow those not able to use public transport the opportunity to go out and do a bit of shopping in Castleford, Selby and Monks Cross. We will pick those who have signed up for the trip from their home and bring them back again.
Selby (Weekly)
Every Monday, we pick up those who want to do some shopping in Selby. The bus will pick residents up directly from their home around 10:00 and return home at approximately 12:00. The drop off and collection point in Selby is Sainsbury's. The maximum number of passengers is six, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
Castleford (Weekly)
Every Friday, except the first Friday of the month, we pick up those who want to do some shopping in Castleford. The bus will pick residents up directly from their home around 10:00 and return home at approximately 12:00. The drop off and collection point in Castleford is Carlton Street, Market Hall. The maximum number of passengers is six, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
Sherburn in Elmet (Weekly)
For residents living in South Milford and Sherburn in Elmet, every Thursday we pick local residents up from their home to take them shopping in Sherburn village centre to do some shopping. Residents who are interested in this service should call the office for pickup times on 01977 681 828. The maximum number of passengers is six, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
Monks Cross (Monthly)
On the first Friday of the month, a shopping trip is made to Monks Cross, York. Residents will be picked up and stop off on the way for fish and chips lunch at Thompson's Fish Restaurant. We then continue onto Monks Cross for 2 hours of shopping. There is a host of shops for residents to enjoy before meeting at approximately 16:00 at the Asda Cafe for the return journey home.

The cost of the door to door shopping trips is £5.00. If you would like to book a shopping trip, the maximum number of passengers is six, so please book early to avoid disappointment. Call the office on 01977 681 828.
